🚨 UKRAINE SITUATION from October 2023 to December 2023:
Missile, drone, and shelling attacks persist in Ukraine, particularly in the south and east. Recent incidents include Russian air strikes in the Kherson region and a rocket hitting a mail depot in Kharkiv, resulting in casualties and destruction.
Between 1 - 8 October 2023, OHCHR recorded 188 civilian casualties, contributing to a total of 27,768 since February 2022. Landmine explosions, causing 248 deaths and 500 injuries, remain a grave concern.
A report estimates a USD 14 billion impact from the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in June 2023.
