President Sánchez Meets with Zelenski in Granada: Spain's Continued Support for Ukraine's Peace. The Acting President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, held a bilateral meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volódimir Zelenski, during the European Political Community meeting in Granada.

During this meeting, Pedro Sánchez reaffirmed Spain's unwavering support for a just and enduring peace in Ukraine, grounded in international law and the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter. Moreover, President Sánchez reiterated Spain's commitment to assisting Ukraine on its path toward European Union integration.


The discussions between the two leaders encompassed the current state of the conflict. President Sánchez conveyed Spain's dedication to aiding Ukraine in safeguarding its cities, energy infrastructure, and ports. To this end, Pedro Sánchez extended offers of new anti-aircraft and anti-drone systems to President Zelenski, along with specialized training for Ukrainian soldiers in this domain and updated demining equipment.


Following these talks with President Zelenski, the Government of Spain will provide Ukraine with six Hawk launchers. This contribution aims to bolster Ukraine's defenses against potential Russian bombardment of civilian targets and critical infrastructure, as well as to safeguard the newly established grain corridor.
