Ana Romina Sarmiento

Executive Director

BA in Political Science (UBA), UBA Professor and Master in International Human Rights Law, School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, and a graduate of the Innovation and Leadership program at Georgetown University (2019).

She has coordinated projects for the Ministry of Government of the City of Buenos Aires in Political Affairs. She was a parliamentary advisor in the Congress of the Argentine Nation and the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Buenos Aires. She was the National Director of Civic Culture in Human Rights of the Secretary of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism of the Argentine Nation (2015-2019).

Professor of "Refugees and Forcibly Displaced Persons: Their Regional and Global Impact, a subject in which she has specialized in the last 10 years. She writes on Leadership Human Rights, International Humanitarian Rights among other topics.


She has been collaborating for more than 10 years in different volunteer activities in the YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) and is currently a member of the Board of Directors.


Romina has an outstanding trajectory in training young people on formation and political and citizen participation. She has worked and trained in Human Rights programs and projects at World Youth Forum Canada (2006), YMCA Jerusalem (2008 and 2014), Save the Children (2014) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Turkey (2015).

Florencia Suarez Baccaro is a senior strategic advisor with a proven track record in the private and public sectors. With over 8 years of experience, Florencia specializes in partnership fundraising for NGOs and excels in fostering successful public-private collaborations.


As a co-founder of Chaka, Florencia is deeply committed to driving social projects that create a meaningful and lasting impact. Recognized for leadership excellence, Florencia has participated in prestigious programs with the Inter-American Development Bank, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the United States State Department, the Fundación Río de la Plata, and the Beijing Youth Federation.


Currently based in Barcelona, Spain, Florencia continues to leverage her expertise to provide strategic advisory services and advance positive change in the world.

Sofia C. Bulaievsky


Sofia C. Bulaievsky is an Argentinean great-granddaughter of Ukrainians and is currently finishing her law degree at the University of Buenos Aires.

She has a deep interest in international issues, human rights and the development of humanitarian projects. She has collaborated in the realization of international academic events (ILG Georgetown Alumni Reunion).


She has conducted human rights training in the city of Buenos Aires and is currently supporting Casa Ukraine in several actions.
